Huddersfield Town striker Joe Taylor is reportedly wanted by Bristol City, with the Robins keen to sign the 23-year-old attacker. The transfer news comes as Huddersfield look to recoup the £3m they spent on Taylor. Taylor impressed during his loan spell at Wigan Athletic in League One, scoring nine goals in 42 games. However, he struggled to make an impact at the Terriers, scoring just nine goals in 42 games since his arrival in January 2025. Bristol City are in need of reinforcements in attacking areas, with Sinclair Armstrong departing the club and Sam Bell out of contract. The Robins are also looking to strengthen in goal, with Radek Vitek returning to Manchester United after his successful loan at Ashton Gate. Taylor, who had previously made 22 appearances in the Championship for Luton and Peterborough combined, failing to score a single goal, is reportedly 'one of the first names' on new Bristol City boss Michael Skubala's transfer wish list. Huddersfield are thought to want to recoup the £3m they spent on Taylor, who is 23 years old.
